The Distance Measurement tool, available as Ruler, allows you to measure distances directly on the map.
It is a practical tool for planning movement routes and comparing different paths before or during gameplay.
Accessing the Ruler tool
To open the distance measurement tool:
- Open the Navigation Menu.
- Select Ruler.
Once enabled, a property panel appears on the right side of the screen, providing access to the available measurement actions.
Creating a route
To start measuring a route:
- Tap Add Route Point in the property panel.
- A point is placed at the center of the map, directly under the red crosshair.
- Move the map to position the next point.
- Tap Add Route Point again.
When a second point is added:
- a line is drawn between the points,
- and the distance between them is displayed on the map.
Each additional point extends the route and updates the total distance in real time.
Ending the route
To finish measuring the route:
- Tap End Route in the property panel.
The route measurement is finalized and remains visible until you start a new measurement or leave the tool.
Practical use
The Ruler tool is especially useful for:
- planning movement and patrol routes,
- estimating travel distances,
- comparing alternative paths,
- and evaluating which route may be more efficient or safer.
By placing points manually and adjusting the route step by step, players can make informed tactical decisions based on terrain and distance.
Designed for quick planning
Distance Measurement is designed to work directly on the live map, without switching screens or entering coordinates.
It complements map layers and base maps, providing immediate spatial awareness when it matters most.
