The Administrative Army is a special, system-level army that exists in every session in Airsoft Force Tracking.
It represents the organizational and control layer of a session and is used exclusively by organizers, referees, and administrators.
This army is not a gameplay faction.
It is a management role, designed to keep control, visibility, and configuration separate from player-side mechanics.
Purpose of the Administrative Army
The Administrative Army exists to:
- manage the structure of a session,
- configure armies, teams, and visibility rules,
- supervise gameplay without interfering directly,
- and ensure smooth operation during live events.
By separating administration from regular armies, Airsoft Force Tracking avoids role conflicts and keeps gameplay fair and predictable.
Access control
Access to the Administrative Army is protected by a dedicated administrator password.
- The password is defined when the session is created.
- Only users who know this password can log in as administrators.
- Regular players cannot access administrative tools.
Logging in with the administrator password automatically assigns the user to the Administrative Army.
Administrative permissions
Members of the Administrative Army have access to session management tools, including:
- creating and managing armies,
- changing army passwords,
- configuring army visibility rules,
- managing scenarios,
- assigning offline maps to sessions,
- viewing connected players,
- generating session reports,
- and other administrative features.
These tools are available through the Session Management Panel.
No direct gameplay participation
The Administrative Army is intentionally isolated from normal gameplay mechanics.
Administrators:
- do not participate in standard army visibility rules,
- are not meant to receive or execute player orders,
- and are not treated as combat units.
This allows organizers to observe, moderate, and react without affecting the balance of the game.
Designed for real-world events
The Administrative Army reflects how real airsoft and milsim events are organized:
- organizers and referees operate outside the faction structure,
- they need full situational awareness,
- and they must be able to intervene quickly and safely.
AFT formalizes this role into a dedicated system entity instead of relying on hidden permissions or ad-hoc workarounds.
One clear rule
If you can see and use session management tools,
you are logged in as a member of the Administrative Army.
If you cannot,
you are a regular participant.
A deliberate system design
The Administrative Army is not a convenience feature.
It is a deliberate architectural decision that keeps sessions scalable, secure, and manageable — from small skirmishes to large multi-faction events.
