Application Settings

Airsoft Force Tracking offers a range of settings that let you tailor the app to your preferences and field conditions. Some of them work globally — regardless of whether you’re currently in a session — while others only take effect during active gameplay. Below you’ll find a description of every available option.

How to Open Settings?

Settings are accessible from the navigation menu. Simply tap the „Settings” button to open the configuration panel.

The panel is divided into three tabs: Profile, Display, and Notification.

Tab: Profile

Language

A dropdown list (combobox) for selecting the language of the app interface. The choice applies globally — changing the language affects the entire application. AFT is available in many languages, making it accessible to local teams and participants of international events alike.

Tab: Display

The Display tab brings together all settings related to the appearance of the map and interface. This is where you adapt the app to your field conditions and the specifics of your device.

Player Arrow Color

Lets you choose the color of the arrow representing your current position on the map. Previously the arrow was always yellow, but on certain map tiles that color blended into the background, making orientation harder. Handing the choice to the user solves that problem for good. Cyan is set by default.

Icons Size

A slider that controls the size of player icons and markers displayed on the map. Screen resolutions vary significantly between devices — this option lets you match map readability to your specific phone.

High Contrast

A switch that activates high contrast mode for map labels. In standard mode, labels are displayed in white font. With High Contrast enabled, labels receive a black background, keeping them legible on bright or varied map tiles.

Keep Screen On

A switch that prevents the screen from auto-dimming. Useful during active gameplay when you don’t want to interrupt your map observation. Note: the screen is one of the most power-hungry components of your phone — enabling this option may noticeably reduce battery life.

Player HUD

A switch controlling the display of the player HUD visible in the bottom-right corner of the map. The HUD provides key contextual information during gameplay. This option is only active during a running session — outside of a session the HUD is not displayed, regardless of this setting.

Night Filter

A slider that lets you dim or brighten the map. Particularly useful during night games, when a bright screen could give away your position or simply be distracting. The adjustment works independently of your device’s system brightness.

Tab: Notification

The Notification tab controls how the app informs you about in-game events — medic calls, support requests, and other session notifications.

Play Sound

A switch that enables sounds in the app. When turned off, AFT operates in silent mode — no audio signals of any kind.

Vibrations

A switch that enables vibrations. Can be used independently of the sound option — for example, enabling vibrations with sound off works well in situations that require maintaining silence.
