Changing an Army Password

Changing an army password allows session administrators to control access to an army during a session.
This action is available only to members of the administrative army.

Who can change an army password

  • Only users logged in as session administrators can change army passwords.
  • Regular players do not have access to army security settings.

This ensures that access control remains fully under the organizer’s control.

How to change an army password

To change the password of an army:

  1. Open the Session Management menu.
  2. Select Armies.
  3. Choose the army you want to edit.
  4. Open the Security tab.
  5. Enter a new password (minimum 6 characters).
  6. Save the changes.

The new password becomes active immediately.

Joining a session using army passwords

Players join a session by providing:

  • the session identifier, and
  • the password of the army they want to join.

This simple mechanism allows organizers to control faction access without accounts or external tools.

Password changes during gameplay

Changing an army password does not remove current players from that army.

  • Players already logged in remain in the session.
  • If a player needs to reconnect or log in again, they must use the new password.

This allows organizers to:

  • rotate passwords mid-game,
  • restrict access after the session has started,
  • or handle late joins safely.

Why password management matters

  • Prevents unauthorized access to armies
  • Enables controlled invitations during live gameplay
  • Supports dynamic event management without disrupting active players
