Communication Menu

The Communication Menu provides quick access to the most important player-to-player communication tools during a session.
It is designed for fast use in the field, without leaving the map view or navigating through complex menus.

Accessing the Communication Menu

The Communication Menu is always available from the top area of the map screen.

  • Tap the communication button located at the top of the screen.
  • The menu opens instantly, without interrupting gameplay.

This makes it easy to react quickly, even in dynamic or stressful situations.

Available communication tools

The Communication Menu provides access to three core features:

Reporting injured players

This option allows players to mark themselves or others as injured, depending on the rules of the session.

When activated, a red cross icon appears on the player’s marker and in player lists, clearly indicating the need for medical attention.
The exact meaning of this status (game-related injury, evacuation, or real-world emergency) is defined by the event rules.

Calling for support

This option allows players to signal the need for assistance or attention.

When enabled, a red exclamation mark appears on the player’s icon on the map and in search results.
Its interpretation is flexible and can be used for:

  • requesting support,
  • responding to radio instructions,
  • signaling availability or need for transport,
  • or other scenario-specific purposes.

Session chat (in development now)

The Communication Menu also provides access to the session chat.

The chat allows players to exchange text messages within the current session, supporting coordination and information sharing when voice communication is unavailable or impractical.

Designed for fast signaling

The Communication Menu is built around a few key principles:

  • minimal interaction cost,
  • clear visual indicators,
  • instant visibility on the map,
  • and flexibility to adapt to different gameplay rules.

It complements voice and radio communication rather than replacing them, offering a reliable fallback and a clear visual layer of situational awareness.
