Generating QR Access Codes
QR access codes allow players to join a session quickly by scanning a code — no need to manually enter a session ID, army password, or select a team. Each code is tied to a specific team within a specific army, so scanning it automatically places the player in the right place.
Codes are generated on demand by the session administrator or army HQ. The result is a PDF file — one page per team — ready to be printed or distributed digitally. Each page displays the army name, team name, and the date and time the code was generated.
Internet connection required. Code generation connects to the server. Make sure your device is online before starting.

Access levels
QR access codes can be generated at three levels:
| Level | Who can generate |
|---|---|
| Entire session (all armies and teams) | Session administrator only |
| Entire army (all teams within one army) | Session administrator, army HQ members |
| Single team | Session administrator, army HQ members |

What the PDF contains
Each page of the generated PDF corresponds to one team and includes:
- the army name,
- the team name,
- the QR code itself,
- the date and time the code was generated.
One page per team makes it easy to print and distribute codes separately — for example, handing out different sheets to different factions on the field.
Practical example
An organizer is running a two-faction game. They create a Blue Army with a Blue Team and a Red Army with a Red Team. They generate codes for the entire session, print the two relevant pages, and hand them out on the field alongside colored armbands. Each player opens the Airsoft Force Tracking app, navigates to the QR join option, and scans their sheet. They are immediately placed in the correct army and team — no verbal instructions needed.
Security note
QR codes contain embedded access credentials. If a code is compromised — for example, if players from one faction obtain the opposing faction’s code — those credentials can be reset. See Resetting QR Access Codes for details.
