Join an Existing Session
Joining an existing session allows you to participate in an ongoing game or event prepared by an organizer. A session represents a complete gameplay environment, including armies, visibility rules, maps, and scenarios. Remember that you can create your own session for free and invite your friends to join it.
There are two ways to join a session: using a Session ID and army password, or by scanning a QR access code.
Option 1: Join with Session ID and Army Password
To join a session manually:
- Open the Navigation Menu.
- Select Session.
- Tap Join Session.
- Enter the session identifier — always a numeric code.
- Enter the army password provided by the event organizer.
- Confirm to join the session.
Once completed, you are connected to the session and ready to participate.
Option 2: Join with QR Code
If the event organizer has prepared QR access codes, you can use them to join a session instantly — without entering a session ID, army password, or selecting a team manually. Each QR code is tied to a specific army and team, so scanning it places you in the right place automatically.
You must be logged out of any active session before scanning. If you are already in a session and scan a QR code, you will receive a message asking you to leave the current session first. Re-scanning after leaving will complete the process.
To join with a QR code:
- Open the Navigation Menu.
- Select Session.
- Tap Join with QR Code.
- Point your camera at the QR code provided by the organizer.
- After a successful scan, a confirmation dialog appears.
- You are immediately connected to the session, army, and team linked to that code.
The QR code page also displays the army name and team name, so you can verify you are scanning the correct code before joining.
QR codes are generated by the session administrator or army HQ. For details, see Generating QR Access Codes.
Session ID and army passwords
Each session uses:
- one shared session ID, and
- multiple army passwords.
All armies within a session share the same session identifier, but each army has its own password. The password you enter determines which army you join.
Because of this:
- do not share your army password with players from other armies,
- treat the password as confidential information.
During some events, armies may change alliances or sides as part of the storyline. Maintaining password confidentiality helps preserve balance, immersion, and narrative integrity.
What happens after you join
After joining, you have access to the full session environment prepared by the organizer — maps, armies, teams, scenarios, and more. For a complete overview, see the Features page.
